We are excited to announce that Healgood is expanding to support our growing DBT programs for children, teens, parents/families, and adults. We are seeking passionate clinicians with experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to join our team and provide specialized care through individual therapy, skills groups, parent coaching, and family sessions. Our programs aim to support clients in building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills from a compassionate and holistic perspective.
Position Overview:
W2 position - part-time and full-time positions available.
Fully-licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW, Psychologist) with training and experience utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC-Associate, LMSW) will be considered if they have DBT training or experience and if their supervisor is a DBT specialist.
Therapist will provide outpatient individual, group, family/relationship DBT therapy to clients of Healgood.
Therapy services include treatment of children, adolescents, adults, relationships, and/or families.

Healgood is hiring licensed clinicians for W2 classified part-time and full-time DBT Therapist positions. We are seeking clinicians who are passionate about providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy and have prior experience facilitating DBT groups or working with clients using DBT interventions. This is a hybrid position, offering opportunities to provide in-person and virtual services from our Northwest Hills (Austin, TX) office or from your home (virtual-only).
Minimum Requirements:
Fully licensed in Texas as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC-S, LCSW-S, LMFT-S, or Psychologist.
Provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC-Associate, LMSW) will be considered if they have DBT training or experience and if their supervisor is a DBT specialist.
DBT-specific training and experience in DBT skills groups and individual DBT therapy.
Part-time status: Minimum 15 billable clinical hours per week, no more than 20 hours.
Full-time status: Minimum 20 billable clinical hours per week.
Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently with clients.
Commitment to inclusive and holistic treatment, focusing on both clients and their families.
Familiarity with ethical standards and decision-making as defined by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and other relevant state regulations.
Ability to understand and apply laws and regulations governing clinical practice, including HIPAA compliance, licensure requirements, and professional ethics (such as confidentiality, informed consent, and record-keeping).
Must possess critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Highly organized and inclusive in working with clients, families, and the community.
Pay Range:
$36-150 per full-fee clinical hour — Dependent upon experience, qualifications, service provided (e.g., group, individual, family), and PT/FT status.
$30-117 per sliding scale hour — You set your lowest sliding scale fee available and choose how many sliding scale spaces you offer, up to 3. Dependent upon experience, qualifications, service provided (e.g., group, individual, family), and PT/FT status.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide virtual and/or on-site clinical counseling services using DBT interventions to individual clients or groups.
Adhere to the full DBT protocol, including: Providing skills training (group), individual DBT therapy, participating in DBT consultation at Healgood, provide clients with phone coaching.
Perform DBT skills training with clients and facilitate DBT skills groups (children, teen, and/or adult groups).
Abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and ethical codes relevant to the services performed.
Timely communication and coordinatation with clients and/or treatment teams.
Complete and maintain all client documentation (notes, treatment plans, progress notes) in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours of each session.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date caseload log.
Actively participate in mandatory weekly team meetings, DBT consultation, and trainings.
Be respectful, cooperative, and collaborative with team members.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:
Expertise in DBT: Prior DBT training and experience, particularly in running DBT skills groups.
Experience with diverse client populations, particularly teens and adults experiencing emotional regulation challenges, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, and/or eating disorders.
Experience working with clients diagnosed with co-morbid disorders and who struggle with suicidality and self-harm behaviors.
A desire to treat complex mood and anxiety disorders from a DBT framework, and potentially integrate other modalities (CBT, ACT, ERP, EMDR, etc.).
Strong relational and collaborative approach with clients and treatment team members.
Capacity to think critically and practice with ethical decision-making, aligned with licensure requirements and current laws.
Ability to effectively manage crisis situations, including thorough risk assessment for suicidality and non-suicidal self-injury, while ensuring appropriate referrals to crisis services when needed.
Provide client care from a biopsychosocial framework, utilize a trauma-informed approach, and work from an anti-diet and HAES (Health at Every Size) perspective.

Minimum of 2 years of clinical mental health experience is required.
Must have an active license in good standing with the state of Texas. A copy of the license must be provided to Healgood.
Knowledge of state laws regarding licensure, and commitment to maintaining continuing education and legal/ethical obligations.
Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills, with an ability to engage clients meaningfully from the first consultation through termination.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
